Spring Book Fair Results

The library now has $1,200 to spend on books, magazines, supplies, and other materials thanks to all the families who made purchases at the bookfair. We can't wait to buy RICBA 2013 nominees, more graphic novels, nonfiction about topics on which the kids haven't been able to find information, and some fantastic new stories like The One and Only Ivan.

Nothing sold as well as Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Cabin Fever did back in the fall ... we sold 86 copies of that! But there were definite favorites this time around, including Big Nate, Bad Kitty, Flutter, The Loser List, Glory Be, Eye Bogglers, and, of course, The Guinness Book of World Records.

Book Fair Volunteers Needed!

Did you know that the library's entire collection and materials budget comes from money raised during the bookfair? That's why we're having another one this spring! We'll need help with setting up, running the cash registers, breaking down, and counting money. If you have an hour, we'd love to have you!

Thursday, 3/29: SETUP from 3:30 - 5 p.m.
Friday, 3/30: FAIR from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Monday, 4/2: FAIR from 8:30 a.m. - 11:15 p.m.
Wednesday, 4/3: FAIR from 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.
Thursday, 4/4: FAIR from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. / BREAKDOWN from 3:30 - 5 p.m.

Thanks to everyone who made purchases at our Fall Book Fair. We rely on the proceeds of the fair for almost our entire library budget. 25 - 50% of every dollar spent came back to us in a combination of "Scholastic Dollars" and cash.
